Potential Leaders
AN OVERVIEW
During the course participants will experience a range of challenging outdoor activities, which may include low ropes, high ropes, bush skills, rock climbing, abseil, tramping and bush skills.
They will also develop personal and group skills through facilitation by the instructors and leadership skills.
Numbers: A minimum of 18 up to 36 young people on the course
Target group: Year 12/13 students
Outcomes: This course provides students with the opportunity to experience Adventure Based Learning in a mountain environment. The expected outcomes are for the students to:

develop communication and leadership skills

develop self-confidence, resilience and self-reliance

learn recreational outdoor skills in a variety of activities

experience fun and exciting activities in the outdoors and a gain a sense of individual and group achievement

enjoy a residential experience that encourages independence and a chance to mix with other participants.

have an opportunity to gain the Unit Standard 32844 (L3 C3), Apply knowledge of group processes and evaluate personal contribution to group performance in an outdoor activity.
